Emoji Stories is a free emoji-puzzle game. No account is needed to play, and we collect no personally identifiable data (name, email, address). This page explains the few technical bits of data the site does use.
Data we use
To run the game, the site uses a minimum of technical data:
- An anonymous session identifier, stored in an encrypted cookie (a plain UUID, valid for about 13 months). It remembers your progress, your streak and which puzzles you have played. It holds no personal information and is not linked to any account.
- Your language preference (French or English), remembered so we can show you the right version of the site.
- Anonymous, first-party visit statistics: a visitor is stored as an irreversible fingerprint (a hash), never the identifier itself, and never a name, email or precise location.
What the data is for
Only to run the game (saving your progress) and to understand the site's audience in aggregate. We do not sell, rent or share this data with anyone.
Ads and third-party trackers
The site shows no ads and uses no advertising network and no third-party analytics service (such as Google Analytics). Our statistics are strictly first-party.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages and asks for no personal information. It is not specifically directed at children under 13 and knowingly collects no data about them.
Your choices
You can clear the site's cookies from your browser at any time: this resets the anonymous identifier, your progress and your streak. The game stays fully playable without granting anything else.
